The Pella Christian boys golf, girls tennis, and girls soccer teams are all set to compete today.

The Eagles boys golfers will join fellow area schools Knoxville, Pella, and PCM for the Knoxville Invitational at Pine Knolls Golf Club. In Knoxville, Pella Christian head boys golf coach Kent Breems says that he is looking for his squad to work on cleaning up some things before the end of the season push.

“I think one of the biggest things we’ve talked about recently is trying to minimize our mistakes as far as if we do miss it a ball, which we know is going to happen, have that be a small mistake and not a big mistake that’s going to cost us a couple strokes.”

The Eagles girls tennis team will compete on their turf in the five-team Pella Invitational, which is being held on Eagle Lane, while the Pella Christian girls soccer team is the last team set to be in action today with a long road trip to square off with Burlington Notre Dame.

The Eagles boys golf team and girls tennis squad are scheduled to begin their events at 9 a.m., while the Pella Christian girls soccer game starts at 10 a.m.
