For more than a decade, KNIA/KRLS Radio has been recognized among Iowa’s best radio stations by the Iowa Broadcast News Association. On Saturday at the IBNA Annual Convention in Altoona, KNIA/KRLS won best feature, overall newscast, and podcast in 2022. The station also received top three recognition for overall excellence, in depth coverage, public affairs, sports feature, daily sportscast, sports play-by-play, and breaking news.

Station Manager Jim Butler says the awards reflect the dedication to local news and sports coverage among the staff at KNIA/KRLS Radio, and the recognition reflects the station’s standing among the best radio stations in the entire state.
