The Knoxville Public Library will be holding a special Book Club meeting on Monday, May 8 at 1:30. 

The selection for the month is World Piece, A Pie Baker’s Global Quest for Peace, Love, and Understanding by Beth Howard. Howard is originally from Iowa, lived in the American Gothic House in Eldon where she operated a popular pie stand, global traveler, and author of several books.

People are invited to join the event in the Weiler Room at the library for coffee, pie, and conversation as Beth will join via zoom for a question and answer session. The library will be providing some pie, though people who enjoy baking are invited to bring their favorite pie to share.

Copies of the book are available to read in advance. Stop by the front desk or call the library at 641-828-0585.

Even if you don’t have time to read the book, the hope is you’ll consider joining for what is sure to be a lovely afternoon.
