PCM Boys Track and Field 4th, Girls 5th at North Polk

Running in the North Polk Coed Comet Invitational Monday night, the PCM boys track and field team brought home a 4th place finish with 81.5 points, while the girls finished fifth with 92 points.

The Mustang boys placed top three in the following events:

110 Meter Hurdles – Gavin Van Gorp (15.79) – 1st

400 Meter Hurdles – Gavin Fenton (59.19) and Griffin Olson (1:00.83) – 1st and 2nd

Sprint Medley Relay – Gavin Fenton, Griffin Olson, Gabe Hobbs, Mickey Mackewich (1:44.55) – 2nd

High Jump – Chase Wagaman (5’8”) – 3rd

4×100 Meter Relay – Adrien Robbins, Gabe Hobbs, Will Owens, Carter Burns (47.46) – 3rd

Finishing in the top three of events for the PCM girls was:

100 Meter – Morgan Karr (12.63) – 1st

Shot Put – Rylee Gallaher (35’6”) – 1st

100 Meter Hurdles – Jorja Teeter (17.41) and Lillian Humpal (17.67) – 2nd and 3rd

400 Meter – Tiffani Koonce (1:05.60) – 2nd

High Jump – Ayla Barrett (5’0”) – 2nd

4×800 Meter Relay – Abi Teeter, Paiten Rumbaugh, Addison Steenhoek, Paige Steenhoek (11:05.87) – 2nd

PCM Girls Golf Finishes 3rd at the Knoxville Triangular

Marking the third time in four days that a PCM golf team competed at Pine Knolls Golf Course in Knoxville, the Mustang girls golfers finished in third place in the Knoxville Triangular on Monday.

The PCM girls battled the windy conditions to shoot a 231 as a team, which was just four strokes back of the meet winner Knoxville. Shooting a 50 and taking third place individually, Eleigh Davis capped off a great night with chip in for birdie and a hole out from 90 yards on the last hole of the course for an eagle. Riley Johannes and Gretchen Uitermarkt brought home individual fourth and fifth place finishes after recording a 54 and 57 respectively, while Brelee Berger and Emilyn Davis each posted a 70. Rounding out the triangular for PCM was Meredith Chipps with a 75.

The Mustangs girls golf team has the day off, before returning to the course on Wednesday for the Heart of Iowa Conference meet at Lincoln Valley Golf Course in State Center.

PCM Boys Soccer Falls in Road Match at Greene County

The PCM boys soccer team couldn’t crack the scoreboard on the road Monday night, falling to Greene County 9-0. The Rams were in command throughout the night, scoring eight of their nine goals in the first half, while hold the Mustangs to no goals for the fifth time this season. The PCM boys soccer team dropped to 3-8 this season, and they’ll look to bounce back on Thursday with a 6:30 p.m. home match against Perry.
