A score of 442 was good enough to put the Pleasantville Trojan girls golf team in third place at the West Central Activities Conference Golf Meet Monday. Van Meter took the title with a score of 424 followed by Des Moines Christian at 438.
A total of seven teams participated in the meet. Regan Bernhardt of Van Meter fired a score of 99 to earn medalist honors with Meredith Kruse of Ogden runner-up at 104.
Coach Jeff Koerselman’s Trojans had scores of 107 by Chloe Rankin, DeLaney Harvey at 108, Ali Archer 113 and Leah Adreon at 114. Also golfing for the Trojans but not counting in the team total were Emily Roe and Joelle Johnson.
Koerselman tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, “All the kids grinded out a day of 35 mph+ wind, it was difficult. I was very proud of our girls, 4 all-conference golfers is a great accomplishment for the year.”
The conference meet was held at Woodward. Up next is the Regional May 12.
