The Indianola City Council appointed Josh Rabe to fill the vacant city council seat at their meeting Monday, filling the at-large seat formerly held by Heather Hulen. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News Rabe was selected as one of four applicants, but he was very happy to see four qualified candidates put their names forward wanting to serve.
“They all had great integrity, they all wanted to see great things happen in Indianola, and ultimately the council picked Josh. I thought one of Josh’s great statements was a quote that he had which is “it’s not ours, it’s our turn.” That really speaks well, we are each stewards. It’s not our city, but it’s our turn to help guide and shape the city and I thought that was a good answer to that question and really shaped where the council wants to go in the selection of a new council member.”
