Knoxville Boys Golf Takes Atlantic Invitational Win

On a windy day in Atlantic the Knoxville Boys Golf Squad scored a 301 and won the Atlantic Invitational held at the Nishna Hills Golf Course on Tuesday. Evan Smith was medalist with a -2 67. Kail Arkema scored a 75 while Carson Uitermarkt had a 77 with Beau Leisure an 82 and Noah Keefer and Brady Roozeboom both scoring 86s. Knoxville will head to the Gilbert Invitational in Ames on Saturday.

Maasdam Wins Singles Title, Knoxville Girls Tennis Places 3rd At South Central Conference Meet

The Knoxville Girls Tennis Squad finished 3rd at the South Central Conference tournament on Tuesday as Janie Maasdam claimed the singles title. Maasdam was the 2nd seed and had to knock out two Davis County players in back-to-back rounds. Kate Schneider and Mackenzie Karr teamed up to place 6th in doubles.

Knoxville Boys Soccer Beats Centerville, Girls Fall To Reddettes

The Knoxville boys and girls soccer squads were on opposite sides of shut out finals Tuesday night in Centerville. The girls had their five game winning streak stopped in a 1-0 loss to the Reddetts after defeating Centerville by the same score at home a week earlier. The Panthers only got three shots on goal and Ella Breazeale had six saves. Knoxville is now 6-5. The class 2A 11th ranked boys were dominant in an 8-0 win over Centerville. Everyone on the roaster played and the Panthers had seven different players score including Jensen Finnegan twice, Kaison Wilder, Jesse Prather, Luka DeJong, Max Magana, Cael Cook, and Jay Kellar with assists from Finnegan, Brody DeJong plus Eazra Schmidt and Kellar getting two helpers. Carson Cecil faced no shots and had his 6th clean sheet of the season. Knoxville is now 8-4 on the season and will host Clarke on Monday.
