Posting a team score of 341 at State Center’s Lincoln Valley Golf Course, the PCM boys golf team won the Heart of Iowa Conference Championship meet on Tuesday.

Three of the Mustangs six golfers in the meet claimed all-conference honors. Nick Farver led the way for the PCM all-conference golfers, finishing as the meet medalist with an 80. Grant Van Veen was the meet runner-up after posting an 82, and rounding out the all-conference finishes for the Mustangs was Easton Van Veen with an eighth place finish with an 89. Tate Tangeman and Jeffrey McDanel weren’t far behind Easton, recording a 90 and 91 respectively. Rounding out the scoring for PCM was Charlie Ford with a 98.

The Mustangs boys golfers will hope to carry the momentum of winning the conference championship into Friday’s Colfax-Mingo Tournament at Colfax Golf Course. The PCM girls golf team will try to duplicate the boys team’s success at Lincoln Valley Golf Course today, as they compete in the Heart of Iowa Conference Championship meet.
