Dutch Girls Tennis Teams Nab Eagles in Regular Season Finale
It took multiple attempts to make the final regular season meet for the #5 in 1A Pella girls tennis team to compete, but they did so and were able to knock off #8 in 1A Pella Christian by a 7-4 margin. Head Coach Josh McCollam says the meet was tightly contested, with four set tiebreakers and an additional four third set match tiebreakers. Pella Christian came out on top of three of the match tiebreakers. Emily Blom and Claire Smock bounced back with a solid doubles win after both losing in third sets in their singles matches. Mallory Westerkamp and Bryn Higginbotham were rolling in their singles matches and carried that momentum into their doubles match. Sydney Namminga and Kytilin Plate added to the doubles win total with a solid performance. Alloree Else and Lily VanDusseldorp went the distance at #1 doubles, but fell just short losing in a math tiebreaker.
