Earlham hosted the West Central Activities Conference (WCAC) Track Meet Tuesday. The Pleasantville boys team was fifth with 57 points overall while the Trojan girls were ninth in the team standings.
Des Moines Christian won the WCAC boys title with 143 points while the Van Meter girls took the title with 139 points.
The Pleasantville boys had two champions as Ross Stephens won the 110 Hurdles with a time of 15.68 seconds and Yusef Gulley the long jump with a leap of 21’11.25”. Pleasantville had one second place finish as the Shuttle Hurdle Team of Trevor Nickel, Trent Jolly, Caleb Cook and Ross Stephens ran 1:05.18.
Trojan Girls Track
The Pleasantville girls team was ninth with 49 points overall in the team standings. The team had no wins, as they were led by three runner-up performances.
The PHS girls were second in the 4×100 and 4×200 relays and Olivia Anthony was second in the discus with a toss of 106’3”. The 4×100 unit of Lauren Furnal, Sophia Mason, Danika Park and Alex Blackford ran 52.53 seconds.
The PHS 4×200 team ran 1:53.25 with Furnal, Blackford, Carly Gripp and Lillian Mason running.
The track teams will compete at Newton Thursday and end the regular season with the Pleasantville Invite May 8.
