The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship completed the boring process of the sinkhole located in the 1700 block of 135th place as of Friday April 28th.

Congresswoman Marianette Miller-Meeks tells KNIA/KRLS News, “It’s important for us to visit the sinkhole site as well and to know if there is a federal and state nexus and are there federal monies that would be appropriate for being able to repair this.”

Marion County is awaiting the final report and will provide information once received. Marion County Sheriff, Jason Sandholdt requests the public stay away from the restricted area for safety reasons.
