Pella’s signature celebration is set to draw thousands of visitors to the community this week.
Tulip Time Steering Committee Co-Chair Jon Witt says a wide range of entertainment awaits those coming to the festival today through Saturday. He says the best day to arrive for those who enjoy Marching Bands is on Friday, with both parades that day filled with entries from across the state. Pella Historical Museums also released an updated schedule and map (click here to view).
Day one features the coronation of the queen and the first parades in the afternoon and evening. In addition to entertainment at the Tulip Toren, the Pella Opera House is hosting several shows, the Union Street Players have a production at the Pella Community Center, the Pella Garden Club flower show and tulip sales take place at the Scholte House, and the annual Quilt Show is at the Pella Memorial Building.
