The Norwalk girls tennis team ran their dual record to 11-0 on Friday, beating Marshalltown and Southeast Polk at the Ankeny Quad. A third dual vs. Ankeny was rained out. Also on Friday, both Norwalk soccer teams lost non-conference matches against Urbandale.
The Warrior tennis girls won by scores of 8-3 vs. Marshalltown and 9-2 vs. Southeast Polk. Kelsey Dammeier, Katie Larson, Sami Aagard and Tessa Livingston picked up singles wins against the Bobcats. Madison Haskell, Ava Johnson, Larson and Grace Dehmer were singles winners against the Rams. Norwalk won a combined nine of 10 doubles matches on the day.
The Class 2A 13th-ranked Norwalk girls soccer team lost 4-1 at 3A No. 12 Urbandale, falling to 8-6 on the season. They will wrap up Little Hawkeye Conference play Tuesday night at Indianola.
In a matchup of top 10-ranked 3A boys soccer teams, No. 7 Norwalk lost 2-1 at home vs. No. 8 Urbandale. All three goals were scored in the second half. The Warriors will host Indianola on Tuesday night.
