Making up a match that was originally scheduled to take place back on April 6th, the Pella Christian boys soccer team host Centerville today on Eagle Lane.

The Eagles, who are looking to solidify a spot in the top-16 in Class 1A ahead of postseason play, hold a 7-3 advantage in the all-time series between the two schools. The Big Reds won the most previous meet 1-0 back in April of 2021, while the Eagles last win in the series came with a 2-0 decision in April of 2019. While Centerville has struggled to an 0-9 start, Pella Christian sophomore Ethan Van Arendonk says they can’t be taken lightly.

“We’ve got to have energy still because it’s still a good, solid team, so we’re gonna have to play really good to win.”

The Eagles boys soccer game at home against Centerville begins at 9 a.m. this morning.
