The Norwalk Warriors won the Warren County rivalry and Little Hawkeye Conference matchup with Indianola Tuesday night on their home turf 2-1. The Warriors scored in the first half when a cross attempt by Keilor Rodman was mishandled by the Indians defense and knocked in with 23 minutes left before the break, and that would be all the scoring through halftime.

Indianola would get one back with 27 minutes left in the second half after a header from Hunter Chittenden went off the top post and was put in by Jakob Kjellberg to tie the score at one. The Warriors got the winning goal after Jack Brown headed in a corner kick just four minutes later, and the defense held on for the Norwalk win despite multiple Indianola pressure attempts.

The Warriors are now 7-7 on the season and 5-1 in the conference, while Indianola is now 5-11 and 3-3. Norwalk next plays at Waukee tomorrow, while the Indians make the road trip to Ottumwa tomorrow.
