The Pella Christian and PCM boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Central Decatur State Qualifying Meet Thursday, with multiple athletes from both schools automatically qualifying for State.
The Pella Christian boys took second place overall in the meet and automatically qualified five events for State, while the Eagle girls finished third in the meet overall and had seven events automatically qualify to run in Des Moines next week.
Individuals and relays for the Eagles that automatically qualified for the State Meet at Central Decatur were:

Sprint Medley Relay – Amelia Boender, Anna DeBoef, Meredith Van Wyk, Bailey Vos (1:51.37) – 1st
High Jump – Cara Veenstra (5’1”) – 2nd
4x100m Relay – Chloe Nikkel, Anna DeBoef, Amelia Boender, Meredith Van Wyk (51.85) – 2nd
4x400m Relay – Amaia Agre, Josie Settles, Anna DeBoef, and Bailey Vos (4:10.63) – 2nd
Discus – Trevor Veenstra (189’8”) – 1st
Shot Put – Trevor Veenstra (56’3”) – 1st
100m Dash – Isaac Kacmarynski (11.21) – 1st
200m Dash – Isaac Kacmarynski (22.62) – 1st
The PCM boys placed fourth overall in the meet and automatically qualified two events for State, while the Mustang girls finished sixth in the meet overall and had one event automatically qualify to compete at Drake Stadium next week.
