After competing in the State Individual Qualifying Meet on Monday, the Pella Christian boys tennis team continues their postseason today with first two rounds of the State Team Qualifying Meet, while the Eagles soccer teams wrap up their regular season this evening.

As the three seed in Class 1A Substate 6, the Pella Christian boys tennis squad opens the Team State Qualifier against sixth-seeded Saydel. The winner of that first-round match advances to face either second-seeded Grinnell or seventh-seeded Nevada in the semifinals later in the day. Both matches take place at Grinnell High School, and the winner of the semifinal match moves on to the Substate 6 final on Wednesday.

In their final matches of the regular season, the Eagles soccer teams will travel to Van Meter tonight for a doubleheader. For the Pella Christian girls, tonight is a measuring-stick game as the Bulldogs are the top-seed in their district for regionals. Meanwhile, the Eagle boys are hoping to even their record at .500 and carry momentum into the postseason, where they are the top-seed in Class 1A Substate 6.

The Pella Christian boys tennis team’s first-round match in the Team State Qualifying Meet against Saydel at Grinnell High School begins at 9 a.m., while the Eagles soccer doubleheader at Van Meter begins with the girls game at 5 p.m.
