The Indianola Public Works department has multiple projects set for this summer, including major projects such as the Hillcrest Ave Reconstruction Project and the Downtown Square Reconstruction Alley work. Public Works Director Akhilesh “AP” Pal tells KNIA News in addition to the big projects, there are a lot of smaller projects such as the work on Clinton St that the department is looking to complete by the end of the summer.

“Depending on schedule we may be able to get to that by the end of this calendar year. And we are also contracted to do some stormwater improvement on 14th St just south of Hillcrest. So these are some of the projects on our radar, coming either this year or the year after.”
