Knoxville Girls Golf 2nd At Home Quad with Lowest Score Of The Season
The Knoxville Girls Golf Squad shot its low round for nine holes for the season and Faith Roozeboom scored her career low at Pine Knolls Country Club in Knoxville on Friday. The Panthers finished 2nd with a 201 while Pella scored an impressive 187 to win the meet. Other scores were Caelie Smith scoring a 48 which was also personal best. Hayden Hudson had a 56, Iselynn Prevo had a 57, Braylee Mason scored a 60 and Kasey Freeland carded a 78. The Panthers will now turn their attention to the class 3A regional on Wednesday which takes place at Edmundson Golf Course in Oskaloosa.
Knoxville Boys Tennis Ends In Boone
The Knoxville Boys Tennis Season came to a close on Friday with a 5-0 loss to Boone in the class 1A sub state first round. The Panthers who were in a rebuilding situation this season under first year coach Kevin Wadle won one dual meet this season. Wadle tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, the guys improved all season long and is looking forward to next spring to continue to build back the program.
Knoxville Girls Soccer Shuts Out Grinnell
The Knoxville Girls Soccer Squad shut out Grinnell 3-0 on Friday. Emily Dean, Hanna Linsley and Ava VanDonselaar all scored. Linsley scored her 14th goal of the season. Knoxville is now 8-6 and will travel to West Central Valley on Wednesday in a class 1A regional. The Panthers lost to the Wolverines 2-0 on May 6th.
