PCM Girls Golf Closes 2023 Season with 4th Place Finish at Regionals

The PCM girls golf team’s season came to an end Friday at State Center’s Lincoln Valley Golf Course with a fourth-place finish in the Class 2A Region 4A Meet.

The Mustangs, who posted a team score of 428 on the day, finished just five strokes back of Albia for third place and a spot in the Regional Final. Eleigh Davis was the PCM’s top finisher in the meet, coming in 12th place with a 100. Gretchen Uitermarkt was tied for 14th place with a 104, Riley Johannes was tied for 19th with a 109, and Meredith Chipps was 24th with a 115. Emilyn Davis finished in a tie for 25th place after shooting a 116, and Brelee Berger rounded out the Mustangs’ day with a 31st place finish with a 122.

The Mustangs will say goodbye to three seniors in Eleigh Davis, Riley Johannes, and Isabelle Lorton.

PCM Boys Soccer Drops Regular Season Finale Against Ranked Opponent

Competing at Class 1A #4 ranked Des Moines Christian Friday night, the PCM boys soccer team closed out the regular season with a 7-1 loss to the Lions. Caden Bouwkamp got the Mustangs on the scoreboard in the first half with his 11th goal of the season on an assist from Justin Johnston, but the Lions four first half goals were enough to drop PCM to 3-12 on the season. The Mustangs begin their postseason journey on Monday with their Class 1A Substate 7 First Round Match at James Cownie Sports Complex against Grand View Christian.
