A local non-profit organization aiming to enhance the arts and cultural life in Pella is about to begin work on a mural downtown. Christi Vander Voort and Ryan Vos say painting will begin soon on the Spirit of Pella’s first public wall art, to be located on the wall of the Brew Coffeehouse on Franklin Street. Local artist Hannah Heschke has been commissioned to develop and complete the project — the first of what Vander Voort and Vos hope are many art projects downtown.
