The Twin Cedars Baseball Squad opened its season against Wayne on Monday and fell to the Falcons 8-4 in nine innings. The Sabers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the 1st inning when Kasey Clark doubled in two runs, then scored on a passed ball to make it 3-0. However the Falcons would only allow the Sabers one more run in the 3rd when Kaden Kloster singled home Clark. However the Sabers would be outscored the rest of the way 7-0 including four in the top of the 9th inning. Clark was the leader at the plate for Twin Cedars going 2/3 with two RBI. Blake Micetich was tagged with the loss going 2 1/3 innings giving up five runs on three hits, a walk and a strikeout. Twin Cedars is back at it tonight hosting North Mahaska.
