The Indianola Public Library is hosting a presentation for all Nancy Drew fans in the area, Nancy Drew: Iowa Heroine to the World. Adult Services Librarian Jacy West tells KNIA News Nancy Drew is the most popular female detective in fiction. Few know, however, that Nancy is an Iowa heroine and that her creator was Mildred Augustine of Ladora. West said retired professor and Nancy Drew expert Barbara Lounsberry is hosting a discussion about the Nancy Drew author and her accomplishments and place in history. The event will be on June 7th at 6:30pm at the library, with all invited.
