The Knoxville Boys Soccer Squad fell in their season ending match to Carlisle 2-1. The Panthers scored first on a Rylan Robinson corner kick from Ezra Schmidt, however the Wildcats got the equalizer with 11:00 remaining in the 1st half and then scored again with just 1:00 remaining in the 1rst half. The Panthers nearly tied it in the waning seconds but a Kolton DeJong shot on goal was saved by the Carlisle goalie. Coach Dylan Mick told KNIA/KRLS Sports they had more corner kicks, more shots on goal and overall more looks, but just could not cash in. Knoxville is 8-6 and will take on Grinnell Monday in the class 2A substate semi-finals at Randy Wilson Track.
