The Warren County Philanthropic Partnership awarded their High Impact Grant towards the building of a new park in Carlisle, worth $25,000 towards the Friends of Carlisle Parks and community organizers. Dr. Emma Villiard tells KNIA News the park was a dream of hers and her husband Dr. Tyler Villiard, owners of Des Moines River Dental Care, after they saw a need for an all-inclusive park. Dr. Villiard said the new park equipment will be in North Park in Carlisle, and will feature activities for everyone.

“It will have completely rubber surface floor so it will be wheelchair accessible, and also it’s extra cushiony, so if kids fall or anything it’s extra safe. It will have five plus slides, fifteen playground games, a music center, and benches on the sides for parents to sit, and benches all around the playground. As a mom I know kids don’t always stay in one spot. So benches all around, and it will really be an all-inclusive thing.”
