The Twin Cedars Baseball Squad outhit Madrid on Monday night 9-6, but lost the game 9-6. The Sabers played from behind all game and had it tied at four but the Tigers put up four runs in the 4th inning. Twin Cedars would get a run in the 6th and 7th innings but got no closer. The Sabers are now 1-3. Meanwhile, the Twin Cedars softball squad began defense of its class 1A State title with a 17-2 loss to Wayne on Monday. On offense, Julian French and Cristen Durian had one hit each with Durian getting an RBI. French also took the loss in the circle going five innings. The Sabers also take on rival Melcher-Dallas tonight.
