Painting is underway on a new mural in downtown Pella, a project developed by the Spirit of Pella non-profit organization. Christi Vander Voort and Ryan Vos say transformation has started on the Spirit of Pella’s first public wall art, located on the wall of the Brew Coffeehouse on Franklin Street. Local artist Hannah Heschke has been commissioned to develop and complete the project — the first of what Vander Voort and Vos hope are many art projects downtown.
