Pella Corporation, through the company’s philanthropic arm, the Pella Rolscreen Foundation, recently awarded 41 college scholarships to students supporting their aspirations to further their education, achieve their personal goals, and positively impact their communities.

The annual Sons and Daughters Scholarship Program recognizes outstanding high school graduates whose parents are Pella team members, and since its inception in 1979, has awarded nearly 800 scholarships totaling over $5.5MM. Selection criteria includes academics, school and work activities, community volunteerism and essay responses. Recipients attending four-year programs receive $8,000 and those attending two-year programs receive $1,500.

This year’s recipients represented company sites in Iowa, Florida, California, Oregon, Virginia, Kentucky, Michigan and Alabama and were selected from a talented group of applicants representing 48 high schools across 13 states, five of whom are first-generation college students.

The Sons and Daughters Scholarship Program is part of the foundation’s charitable giving, which includes community betterment grants, a generous employee Matching Gifts Program, and a Volunteer Program that rewards team members and their spouses for volunteerism by providing a grant to an approved organization of their choice. Investing not only in the children of team members but in team members themselves, Pella also offers a Tuition Assistance Program to help further their education and support career advancement within the company.
