Kyle Thompson, Knoxville Rural Fire Department Assistant Chief tells KNIA/KRLS News that the department responded to a call at 1607 South Attica Road at 1:20 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
The call was for a truck that caught on fire and it was close enough to a garage that it caught on fire also.
Thompson says, “The truck ignited the front part of the garage, but we were able to get it stopped just at the front section of the garage. Damage was contained to the garage.”
The City of Knoxville assisted the rural fire department with the fire. The fire was put out in about 10 to 15 minutes according to Thompson.
