DJ Harris had a big night at the plate and the pitcher’s mound on Friday as the Norwalk baseball team snapped a five-game losing skid with a 6-1 home win over Gilbert. Both teams are now 2-5 on the season.

The Warriors led 3-0 after one inning when Harris hit a two-run triple and scored on the play when a throw to third went into the dugout. Harris also doubled and had three total RBI. As a pitcher, he worked six innings of three-hit ball, allowing one run and striking out seven.

CJ Davis pitched a scoreless seventh inning with two strikeouts while adding a single, a stolen base and a run scored. Gabe Johnson went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles.

Norwalk returns to action Tuesday night at Ballard.
