The Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad could not keep a lead, while the softball Saints took little time to dispose of Moulton-Udell on Tuesday night. The baseball squad fell to the Eagles 12-6 in a back-and-forth game. Moulton-Udell got the lead in the 1st inning, but the Saints responded on the fourth to tie it at one. An inning later after giving up four runs to trail 5-1, the Saints responded with a flurry of their own to take a 6-5 lead, but all momentum was blown out of Melcher-Dallas’s sails when Moulton-Udell plated three runs in the 6th, and four more in the 7th to shut the door. Trevor Hoch had the best night at the plate for Melcher-Dallas as he went 4/4 with two RBI. The Saints Softball Squad only took four innings to send Moulton-Udell home early in a 12-0 drubbing. The Saints took advantage of six Eagles errors and ripped nine hits. Jenna Mickey and Ashlyn Metz had two hits each while Summer Karpan drove in four runs. Emma Clark controlled things in the circle allowing just one hit and fanning nine Eagle batters.
