The Pleasantville varsity baseball team lost a 5-2 league decision to Van Meter last night on the road.
Suffering the loss on the mound was Braylon Bingham who worked five innings striking out eight and gave up two earned runs.
Bingham, Dylan Aldrich and Tyler Gibson each had one hit for Pleasantville. Trojan head coach Sheldon Card tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, “I’m proud of our efforts. We competed, but a couple of defensive miscues hurt, but we stayed in it mentally.”
Pleasantville is 5-2 overall and they are slated to play again tonight against West Central Valley in a league doubleheader starting at 5 p.m.
