The Indianola Public Library held the annual Summer Bash event Thursday evening despite the rain canceling the outdoor portion, welcoming hundreds of community members to celebrate the return of summer with multiple activities inside the library including board games and signing up for the summer reading program. Library Director Michele Patrick tells KNIA News she encourages all kids to participate in the summer reading program.
“This year’s theme is Discover, and of course it’s dinosaurs, that’s the fun thing we are doing. We have everything from traditional storytime, to puzzle competitions, murder mysteries, some speakers, and fun activities for kids of all ages.”
