Last night shortly after 8:00 pm, the Knoxville Fire Department was dispatched to a reported residential fire in the 100 block of South Conrey. Crews arrived to find smoke throughout the main floor of the residence. They made entry to find a dryer on fire. Crews extinguished the fire and ventilated the structure.

While crews were responding to the residential structure fire, dispatch alerted crews to a vehicle that had drove into a building with a person still inside near South Lincoln and West Robinson. Crews arrived to find a pickup truck had driven through a storage building. The driver was assisted from the vehicle and refused medical treatment. Crews used struts to stabilize and support the building until the truck could be removed. The building is unstable, and the department is asking everyone to stay away from the area until the building owner can make repairs or demo the building.

The Knoxville Fire Department was assisted on both scenes by Knoxville PD, Knoxville Rural Fire Department, Pleasantville Fire Department, Pella EMS, Marion County Sherriff’s Office, and the Knoxville Street Department.
