The Indianola City Council meets in regular session Monday. The council will consider a resolution for the construction of street, curb and gutter, storm sewer, shared-use path and other public improvements on the South K St. paving project, and appointing a three-member valuation committee for the South K Street Special Assessment Project.
The council will also consider a resolution regarding snow emergency applicability in the Downtown Square to allow for parking on the Square between 7 AM and 10 PM during snow emergencies, which would allow the Public Works Department a 9-hour window overnight to remove snow from the Square. The council will also consider an ordinance allowing the city to acquire unsafe or abandoned buildings, and a series of plat survey requests before going into closed session to discuss the purchase or sale of real estate.
Before the meeting begins, the council will meet in a work session to discuss parking signs around the square, and to discuss the city manager review and evaluation process. The work session begins at 6pm in the city council chambers at Indianola City Hall.
