Members of the Indianola High School Spring Musical “The Addams Family” performed at the Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards over the weekend. The performance of “The Addams Family” earned multiple awards including:

Outstanding Student Orchestra

Outstanding Performance in a Principal Role – Emma Brown as “Alice Beineke”
Outstanding Performance in a Principal Role – Mikey Crabb as “Gomez Addams”
Outstanding Performance in a Principal Role – Nadia Gioffredi as “Wednesday Addams”
Outstanding Performance in a Principal Role – Norah Leuwerke as “Morticia Addams”
Outstanding Performance in a Principal Role – Brady Meyers as “Lucas Beineke”
Special Recognition for Performance in a Principal Role – Jacob Butz as “Mal Beineke”
The entire cast was invited to perform at the 2023 Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards Showcase, while Brady Meyers, Emma Brown, Mikey Crabb, Nadia Gioffredi, and Norah Leuwerke all qualified to participate in the Triple Threat program. Those invited to the program received individual coaching on a solo, work with a New York City-based choreographer and music director, and the opportunity to collaborate with other high-achieving students from other schools on a medley that was performed at the Des Moines Civic Center as part of the showcase.
