The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad scored plenty of runs, but could not get the win on Friday night against Lamoni 11-10. The Saints held a 2-1 lead after one inning of play, when the Demons erupted for seven runs in the 2nd, but back came the Saints with five of their own in the bottom of the 3rd to make it 8-7. The teams would trade the lead back and forth with Lamoni coming out on top. The Saints had four players get three hits including Kasyn Reed, Summer Karpan, Peyton Anderson, and Ashlyn Metz with Anderson getting four-RBI. Karpan took the loss going 4 2/3 innings of relief.
