The Knoxville Softball Squad went 1-2 in a loaded John Stephens Classic in Creston on Saturday. The class 4A #15 Panthers began the day by falling to 4A #3 Dallas Center-Grimes 7-6. Ciara Heffron kept her torrid pace at the plate by socking two home runs and knocking in four runs total. Knoxville also fell to 4A #8 Winterset 5-1 as Charlye Willis was 2/2. Knoxville ended the day by beating Clarinda 9-7. Knoxville had to hold on for the win as the Panthers jumped on the Cardinals with seven runs in the 1st inning. Knoxville is 9-4 on the season and will play Chariton on Monday.
