Neighbor Helping Neighbor has reopened its doors to serve the public. The organization is now open Monday and Wednesday from 1-3 p.m.

Neighbor Helping Neighbor is located at 308 East Robinson, which is located one-half block east of the Marion County Savings Bank, according to Brent Hanna, who is the representative from KMA, the Knoxville Ministerial Association. It is the same location Neighbor Helping Neighbor was located prior to shutting down in late March to reorganize.

Hanna tells KNIA/KRLS News, “We are dependent on donations from local organizations, and families and churches that want to help us.”

According to Hanna the organization can help a little bit for heat, rent and electricity and water and those types of things. Hanna said they call it emergency assistance. For food assistance people are encouraged to go to food banks or food pantries.

Hanna said the only way they can remain open is through donations.
