It took everything that #2 Norwalk could handle from the Dutch, but the Warriors ultimately swept Pella on the softball diamond 3-2 and 5-4, with game two heard live on 92.1 KRLS. The Dutch arguably put together their two best games of the season to go toe-to-toe with the ranked Warriors.

Game two featured a four-run 6th inning that put the Dutch ahead 4-1, highlighted by a two-run blast from Katie Scheckel. The Dutch would push the Warriors to a two-out, nobody on scenario, but several late miscues for Pella allowed Norwalk to battle back, and ultimately clear the bases and score four runs on the final at-bat by Maddi Gullion.

Pella jumped out to a 1-0 lead in game one, only for Norwalk to bounce back and score three runs in the middle innings. Katie Scheckel and Ava Curry each had a pair of hits in that contest, while Norwalk had a pair of hits from Lauren Black and Zadie Wadle.

The Dutch fall to 6-14 overall and 1-9 in the conference and head to Newton Friday; Norwalk improves to 17-4 overall and 8-2 in league play and takes on Oskaloosa to end the week.
