The class 1A #15 Twin Cedars Softball Squad and the baseball Sabers will go their separate ways tonight. The softball squad will travel to Orient-Macksburg for a Bluegrass Conference contest. Due to Orient-Macksburg not being able to field a baseball program, the baseball Sabers will step up in class to play Chariton tonight. The Sabers pitching staff is very young this season and Coach Mateo Varese tells KNIA/KRLS Sports while young, they have been in some high pressure situations

Varese: “A lot of freshmen like Holden Roberts, and Kade Closter who hasn’t pitched since little league, and Gavin Clark has arose as our closer.”

Both teams are coming off blowout wins over rival Melcher-Dallas on Tuesday. Baseball is set to begin at 5:30 and softball is set to start at the same time.
