The Indianola School Board approved a limited remote-work policy for certain district employees in limited amounts at their most recent meeting. Superintendent Ted Ihns tells KNIA News the approval does not include teachers or any sort of remote instruction time.
“It would only be for those individuals on extended contracts, that wouldn’t involve right now any teaching staff or associates or anything like that, just a certain amount of individuals who have that opportunity. Moving forward for next year they are allowed four remote working days which means they could work from home or wherever instead of taking a vacation day on those four days if they chose to. They don’t have to, but if something comes up they could.”
