Good Shepherd Lutheran Church recently donated $935 to the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics (KHC) Foundation. The donation represents some of the proceeds raised from Good Shepherd  Lutheran Church’s 3rd Annual Community Plant Sale.

The funds will be used for cancer care in the new Don and Margaret Long Infusion Center, which is under construction.

Each year, volunteer gardeners grow and sell hundreds of flowers and plants during the church’s annual event, with proceeds given to local organizations.

“We appreciate community partners like Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for their selfless, servant-hearted generosity to support our mission,” said Kevin Stittsworth, KHC Director of Foundation & Public Relations. “These funds will go a long way in our efforts to offer a comfortable place where our friends, family, and neighbors can receive treatment right here in our hometown.”
