The Knoxville High School baseball team is fundraising in an effort to help with expenses of facilities upgrades.

The project would improve the fencing, backstop, and bleachers at the complex, while also upgrading the walkway to the field and making the facility more handicap accessible. Edward Jones Financial Advisor Adam Norris says the goal of the fundraiser is to help with the cost of these necessary upgrades and adds that the hope is for the project to be done by next season.

“Our objective is to improve the baseball facilities. It’s been about anywhere from 30 to 40 years since there’s been some significant improvements. There’s a total of about $500,000 project and we’re looking to raise about $250,000 of that to get this thing jump started and be ready for next baseball season.”
