For the first time this season, both of the Melcher-Dallas Summer Squads posted wins. The baseball Saints rolled all over Moulton-Udell to a tune of 16-0 behind a combined no hitter from Reece Chiabotta and Leo Schrader. The Saints jumped out on top early with the big inning a seven run 3rd to go up 14-0 on the strength of a Logan Godfrey three run blast. Godfrey led with three RBI. It was just as easy for the Saints Softball Squad as they drubbed the Eagles 14-2. After allowing 20 and 15 runs in their first two games, the Saints allowed just two runs on six hits. Paetyn Anderson continued her torrid pace at the plate going 3/4 with two RBI including another home run, while Ashlyn Metz was also 3/4 with two RBI. Lotty Nolte got the win going six innings striking out four. Both baseball and softball go their separate ways and play different opponents tonight. Baseball travels to Central Decatur, while softball hosts Centerville.
