The Indianola baseball and softball teams go for the season sweep of Warren County rival Norwalk tonight on their home fields.

The Indianola baseball team is fresh off of a doubleheader sweep over Pella on Monday and sits in a tie for first place in the Little Hawkeye Conference with Dallas Center-Grimes, and will match up with a Norwalk team that the Indians swept in early June in a pair of three-run games. Head coach Jon Fitzpatrick tells KNIA Sports Norwalk is always a tough opponent because of the rivalry, and they are well coached and are never an easy out.

The #6 Indians softball team is also in a tie for first and will look to recover from an upset loss to Pella on Monday, and needs to earn wins against quality opponents in order to maintain a top ranking in class 4A. The Indians swept #7 Norwalk in their doubleheader in June, with Indianola holding the Warriors to just eight hits in two games and five runs.

Both games will be broadcast live, with Andrew Swadner on the baseball call on 94.3 KNIA, and Mike Oeffner on the softball broadcast on the KNIA3 stream on KNIAKRLS.com. Softball pregame begins at approximately 7pm, with baseball beginning at 7:15.
