The 2023 Marion County Fair Queen coronation was held Saturday afternoon at Dyer Hudson Hall in Knoxville, and Carly Cox of Pleasantville was crowned queen. 

As the Marion County Fair Queen, Carly will preside over the Marion County Fair and will also represent Marion County at the Iowa State Fair. Carly tells KNIA/KRLS News that it was a great feeling to be crowned Fair Queen and that she’s looking forward to meeting with fairgoers.

“I’m just looking forward to being at the fair and being able to have all of these networking opportunities and to go and meet youth and adults from statewide and countrywide.”

Lauren Boelling was chosen to be the Marion County Fair Junior Princess, and 2022 Fair Queen Ashley Kearney was in attendance for the coronation.
