The Pella Public Library is introducing an Outdoor Adventures Series this summer.
Next month, the Pella library is offering programs about people who have gone on extraordinary outdoor adventures including kayaking, bicycling and hiking. The series will kick off on Wednesday, July 12 at 6:30 p.m. with Hans Frischeisen presenting his kayaking trek on the Yenisei River in Russia, which began in the mountains of southern Siberia and ended nearly 1,000 miles later in the Arctic Ocean.
The series will continue on Wednesday nights with:
– Hiking the West Highland Way and The Great Glen Way in Scotland with Jackie Kilby and Hazel Bogaard on July 19;
– A Sea to Sea Bicycle Tour with Lynn Verros on July 26
– Walking the El Camino in Spain with Stephen Fyfe on August 9
All will take place in the Library’s Meeting Room at 6:30 p.m. These programs are free and open to the public.
