The Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad knew it had a tough hill to climb against Lynnville-Sully in the class 1A District opener on Monday. That proved true as the Saints season ended with a 22-1 loss to the Hawks. The big inning was the 2nd when Lynnville-Sully scored 13 runs on ten hits. The Saints were also held without a hit in the nearly four inning game, ended early due to the mercy rule. Logan Godfrey was the lone run that crossed the plate for Melcher-Dallas. Tristen Bennett took the loss. The Saints finish the season with a 2-18 record.
