The Pella Community Food Shelf intends to be open at their new location on the west side of the community this month, and they are seeking support to re-fill their shelves and for their ongoing fundraising campaign.
Executive Director Melissa Zula is thankful for the support they’ve received as part of their move to the old Sports Page restaurant at 1111 West 16th Street, but due to the transition and the typical summer increase in demand, the shelf is running low on several items. Zula is hopeful they can build up their stock, especially as their clients are welcomed into their new building and can select more items than the current prepackaged set up.
Those who would like to make a donation to the Pella Community Food Shelf can do so on Venmo @PellaCommunity-FoodShelf, mail to P.O. Box 465, or drop off items at boxes located at the Pella Hy-Vee and Fareway stores.
